Disney Magic Kingdoms is a freemium world builder game developed by Gameloft that is themed off the Disney Parks. It was officially launched on 17 March 2016. The game takes place in the Kingdom, a place primarily based on Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. Mickey Mouse is the protector of the Kingdom. Maleficent made sure to cast a spell over the kingdom to attempt to stop the happiness. It's your duty to lift the curse by helping Mickey do fun, necessary little quest around the kingdom. Occasionally, Merlin appears as a guide to advance the story. This is an amazing game wonderful for all ages. I absolutely love it. It brings the essence of all your favorite Disney characters right to your fingertips in one collectible space.

You get to build your own magical kingdom using the many Disney childhood favorites as well as recent movie characters. The graphics and the artwork for the game are so vibrant. The game also looks and sounds beautiful. The characters are well animated, the environments are authentic, and you'll find yourself whistling while you work as classic Disney themes play overhead. Progressing through the storyline the player unlocks more characters and attractions. Players can earn Magic and Experience by sending characters on quests and tasks, and sometimes Tokens to unlock or level up characters. Premium characters and attractions are unlocked using Gems, which are earned by leveling up characters, completing character collections, or viewing daily announcements.

Logging in to the game each day gets you a daily reward. Log in once a day to keep your rewards streak going. You can get important items for building your kingdom or potions. There are chances to get new characters, chests to potentially get more prizes, or gems to save up to buy your own prizes. The connectivity through Facebook also works well - you can visit your friend's parks and collect gifts for your trouble. There are even community challenges to be unlocked which reward you with unique attractions for your park as well as extra gems.

You're also faced with other iconic villains along the way you can add to your collection. Some quests will take longer than others, in which you can use gems you earn to speed up the times. Disney Magic Kingdoms isn't particularly generous either, you will not have many gems at your disposal. All this is - of course - avoidable if you spend cash to get gems so you can fast-track your way through. For those that don't want to spend, however, it's an exploitative system that manages to mostly ruin a sometimes very good game.

The game is overall an amazing experience. The game seems to be made for collecting purposes more than anything since it's just pointed, click, and wait. Which is completely okay. It is perfect for children of all ages. It's just unfortunate that - if you're not willing to spend a penny on the game - the downtime in Disney Magic Kingdoms is extremely noticeable and frustratingly tedious. But if you can avoid this little obstacle, I would recommend this game to you.
