The Talking Tom series is my childhood memory and my favorite game as a kid. I'm so glad Outfit7 has been working on new games in the series to this day as well, giving Talking Tom fans like me the chance to go on an all-new adventure with some of my favorite characters from my childhood! The game I want to discuss with you today is Talking Tom Jetski 2, an endless running game in the series, the sequel to Talking Tom Jetski. I used to play the original Talking Tom Jetski with my friends a few years ago. When I saw Gen 2, I downloaded it without hesitation. It didn't let me down, it was as fun as I remembered, and it even added a lot of new stuff and better graphics. Most importantly, its controls are very simple, just swipe your finger to control the character to move left and right. If you usually like to play endless running games, then you may only need two minutes to master the gameplay. Next, I will help you better understand the game from the specific gameplay, graphics, and my gaming experience.

 

GAMEPLAY

Talking Tom Jetski 2 is essentially a Jetski-themed endless runner game at sea. Like most similar games, the player can control the Jetski to move left and right by holding down the screen and moving it left and right. What you need to do at the beginning of the game is to choose your favorite character from 5 free riders, these characters are all your familiar friends, including Talking Tom, Talking Angela, Talking Hank, Talking dog Ben and talking Ginger cat, you can choose the rider according to your favorite character. Once you've chosen your rider, you're ready to embark on an exciting sea adventure. In order to create a real situation, the game adds some subtle and interesting elements, such as obstacles, inertia, and the momentum of the water. Players can use inertia to control Jetski's "flying" time in the air, allowing Jetski to perform fancy tricks in mid-air. However, when the Jetski touches the water surface, release the finger on the screen quickly, otherwise it will increase the landing pressure of the Jetski and the momentum of the water, reduce the speed, and delay the time of forwarding acceleration. When manipulating the motorboat to hit the side of the obstacle, pay special attention not to hit it head-on, otherwise, the Jetski will "blow up" and be directly out of the game.

 

Once you've mastered the basic control skills, it's clear that your goal is to run as far forward as you can, across an endless ocean, collecting coins along the way. Watch out for the ubiquitous water ramps and make sure to jump at the right time to collect more coins. In the process of sprinting, players may also pick up auxiliary props such as submarines, gliders, magnets, etc., which may become the key to your victory. Not only can you challenge levels, but you can also play world-class matches against enemies from all over the world. Remember: the faster you run, the higher your world ranking will be. Each victory earns you a chest full of mysterious items. Treasure chests also have different levels. For example, ordinary treasure chests can be upgraded to rare treasure chests, which can get richer rewards. The more victories you get, the more rewards you get. These rewards can be used to unlock new scenarios, build your beach resort, or upgrade your Jetski. Customize your Jetski with special parts that can give you an edge in the race. Always remember that in this sea adventure, your goal is to win at all costs!

 

GRAPHICS

Talking Tom Jetski 2's graphics are a big step up from its predecessor and look more modern and accurate. The overall color scheme and design of the game are very much in line with its theme - marine sports. The cartoon shape of the game characters is very in line with the style of the series and adopts the vertical 2.5D picture expression form. In terms of mode, it adopts the form of a three-person competition (two AIs), which looks very comfortable. The main arena of the game is five beautiful tropical islands, namely Angela’s Beach Resort, Ben’s Science Lab, Ginger’s Sandcastle, Hank’s Surf Shack, and Tom’s Treasure Island. Each island has pleasant scenery and unique characteristics so that players have a different gaming experience on different islands. In addition, the sea view of the tropical island with cool action effects greatly enhances the player's Jetski driving experience. The last thing I have to say is the cool appearance of the Jetski in the game, from the fast and ferocious Tiger Rider to the pink Sparkle and the unicorn jetski, each of which can bring players a different driving experience. Players can collect up to 25 unique jet skis as the game wins!

 

VERDICT

As a big fan of the Talking Tom series, this exciting parkour game did not disappoint. It's better than the previous game, both in terms of gameplay and graphics, and I can do a lot of things in the game. There are a lot of players who will complain about the ads in the game, but to be fair, as a free-to-play game, the developers also need to make money. Without these ads, we wouldn't have a chance to play for free. They are all very short ads, except for 30-second commercials to unlock wheels, chests, or upgrades. No glitches so far, I would recommend this to anyone. If you're looking for a fun game, general commercials, and a time-killer, I promise you this is the one! It's colorful and allows you to play the game any time of the day.
