Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch is an enhanced version of Mario Kart 8 for Wii U. It includes all previously released DLC, additional content, tweaks to the game, and 720p graphics in handheld mode. It includes all previously released DLC, additional content, gameplay tweaks, 1080p graphics when docked, and 720p in handheld mode. some of the features in the Deluxe Edition have been redesigned or restored from the previous Mario Kart games. You get 48 great courses and 42 different characters, including new ones like Bowser Jr. and Inklings from Splatoon, as well as some neat add-ons like the incredibly fast 200cc speed course. Every course, character, and mode is unlocked from the start, which means you can jump right into the track.

For new players, three new control aids can be accessed at any time when selecting a character or in the pause menu. "Smart Steering" is an automated system designed to keep your kart on track, with a small antenna that pops up on the back of your kart and a light bulb that glows whenever you want to go off-road and keep you on the tarmac. This is a great help for the kids, especially when used in conjunction with the new "auto-acceleration", which means players can focus entirely on hitting their drivers with all the wacky items the series is known for.

For experienced players, there's the return of the 200cc Championship - so fast it's maddening, this time you actually need to take your finger off the throttle. There's also a new third level of boost when drifting around corners, meaning time trials will get the injection of speed they need and a reason to go back and beat previous times. Finally, you can now carry two items at a time, adding an even more tactical element.

Battle Mode has eight new arenas and several game modes; items in Hush and Feather have been restored; and players can carry two items at a time, even if they don't drag the first one. Five additional playable characters have been added to the roster, including Bowser Jr, Dry Bones, King Boo, Inkling Boy and Girl from Splatoon, and Metal Mario's unlockable Golden Mario costume. The Deluxe Edition also includes a new Splatoon racing suit for Mii characters unlocked through Amiibo, as well as additional kart parts for customization.

Nintendo has added five smart objective-based modes, each bringing its own unique competitive angle to its eight different arenas. In Balloon Battle, you must use items and smart positioning to score points by popping your opponent's balloons. shine Thief is a wacky, kinetic improvisation. bob-bomb Blast is an explosive, over-the-top face-off. However, I wish I had more incentive to play Coin Runners. collecting or swiping coins from other people is possible, but not as exciting in comparison.

I love the way Mario Circuit twists and turns like a Möbius strip. Even remastered tracks like SNES Rainbow Road or F-Zero's Mute City have exceptional detail, whether you're playing on a handheld device or your TV. After Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the next must-buy for Nintendo Switch. With the glorious return of Battle Mode, better visuals, and more content than ever before, plus more ways to play than ever before with the Nintendo Switch, I don’t think fans could ask for much more.
